Summer Sky

As my first official design project, I want to share how these designs came together and why. A personal story- my husband and I were scheduled to be married on June 27th, 2020 in British Columbia. Which, due to the global pandemic, was cancelled indefinitely. Our 90+ guests worldwide cancelled flights and hotels, our venue gave our deposit back (thankfully), and our wedding was left in the air. So instead, when this day came, we celebrated a day of connection with a small group of friends in our sky-high living room. That day, an unexpected flash flood completely drenched the city. But after some laughs about the continued audacity of nature, the most beautiful sky opened up, just in time for us to pop some champagne, serve fresh BC oysters with a delectable meal to follow, and dance the night away with twinkling lights hanging from our windows. In the midst of darkness, we created a beautiful celebration of love.
